‘Done’ - A Habit Tracking App To Help Make Habit Change Easier

Oftentimes, setting out to build a new habit, or break an existing habit, can seem overwhelming; especially if you are trying to focus on more than one habit at a time, along with juggling all your other tasks throughout the day. I used to create a daily to-do list in my notes app and include new and existing daily habits so that they wouldn't slip my mind on busy days. I call it my "power list", it typically includes things that I want to ensure I do on a daily basis such as exercise, drink a certain amount of water, and read 'X' amount of pages. This method has worked for me for the most part.

However, I recently came across this app called 'Done' and I am loving it so far. It allows you to customize habits/tasks and check them off as you complete them. You can set habits daily, weekly, or set them only on specific days of the week.

'Done' also sends you reminders and gives you a snapshot of your week, month, or year for each habit (THIS is the feature that sold me on the app and made me make the switch over from my notes app). Compared to what I was doing before, (simply checking off what I completed each day and starting over from scratch the next day with no way to see which habits I was succeeding or struggling with most) this was a game changer. I can now look back at past days/months and see which habits I am completing on a regular basis and which need to be prioritized more. In order to get better at something, you have to have some sort of metric in place to measure progress.

The app is free for 3 habits or less, and you have the option to pay annually for the 'premium' version, which allows for unlimited habits. When I first signed up it offered me 50% off of premium, which I declined the first time, and then a few minutes later it offered me 83% off, totaling $9.99 for the year, which I accepted.

This app is great for anyone trying to build good habits, break existing bad habits, or both. It's reminder notifications and the ability to look back at a snapshot of your week or month makes it easy to track compliance, making tracking your progress easier than ever. I highly recommend giving this app a shot!
